We are not big on supplements and generally write off any products that boast miracle-like results as total scams.
NuVet, however is one supplement that we have grown to believe in so firmly, we give it to our entire pack religiously now, and it all started with Kola.
Kola is an absolutely beautiful Chocolate Merle female that we purchased with intent to add her into our program after applicable health testing and if she developed appropriately, being worthy of contributing to the breed. She ultimately didn't pan out for breeding. A few stumbles with her health, including a very stingy case of  localized demodectic mange contributed to our decision to have her spayed and never breed her. This poor girl was plagued with mange for months. Supplementing with Vitamin C and silver made no difference, nor did the paste given to us by her vet. We tried every medication, ointment, cream, shampoo and even several herbal and EO treatments. Nothing touched it. At a groomer's recommendation we tried NuVet Plus supplements for her.
We were so pleased with the results and how quickly it showed great improvement with our Kola, we have been completely sold on it and now it comes right to my doorstep once a month, like clockwork. None of our other dogs have any health issues to speak of, but the improvements we saw in Kola didn't end at her mange clearing up. Her coat got even shiner, and she shed even less. Her stools got even more consistent, and her cough cleared up in less than two days. It seemed as though every benefit of the raw diet we love so much was magnified and improved where I didn't even know there was room for improvement. Now, we give it to all of our dogs, and feel we are doing for them the best we possibly can.
While we do believe a prey model raw diet should be adequate, our personal experience with NuVet Plus makes us feel that any dog, even our raw fed pack can benefit from this supplement. We feel that any and every commercially fed dog ought to be on NuVet Plus.
